The Middling Gatsby

The Great Gatsby in 3D - Yes, in 3D! A first!  It is Roger Rabbit without the cute rabbit, his voluptuous love interest and the laughs.  Did 3D add anything? In this case not really.  I have read the book, what I saw was a pretty fair Readers' Digest of the whole work.  My hope was that the soundtrack would really be good come Moulin Rouge - nope, nothing like that at all, even the party scenes although lavish were not that much of a treat.

Given it is over two hours I didn't feel myself squirming in my seat waiting for the end though when the end did arrive I was not left with a desire for more.

Go see at the movies .... don't rush.
