Sometimes it just doesn't work!

This is a picture of Artemis Robison posing in San Francisco, ok Oakland Ca, with a copy of the Riviera Times I sent her - and yes they do have green stuff there and no it isn't all hallucinogenic.

I adore her work so it would be good to see her live over here.  The last time I saw her live was at a house gig in Covent Garden.  Alas, the Riviera Times wouldn't publish the picture!!

Maybe if she had kept to her original 'out there' image the picture would have been published ..... you know folks, we will never know .... with her music she doesn't need anything else .....

Well I didn't know that!

There is a cute sculpture outside the Le Negresco Hotel that I (this I includes nearly every other person I have spoken to) attributed to the late great artist Nikki de Saint Phalle.  It is not hers! Rather it is the work of Marina Khoutsichvili who is very much alive and working which fact I can attest to as I spoke to her at ArtMonaco 2013.

This is what Marina said " I showed the photos of my sculptures to the owner of Le Negresco, Mme Augier,  and she chose this one: Zarin Singing (220 cm high) in polyester resin." Glad she did as we can all enjoy some of Marina's work.

Now YOU know!

PS: If you don't know Nikki's work then go and visit the permanent exhibition at MAMAC in Nice, you will be glad you did!
